However, there is no SAAMI standard for +P+ so it can be anything from just a bit more powerful to seriously overpressure for any pistol. Brian Pierce has published "tier 2" loads in magazines that go to 20,000-23,000 psi based off of Ruger's rating the nearly dimensionally same 45acp cylinder being able to handle 23,000 psi 45acp +P loads.
